Tucked away in the heart of Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight, the stunning shingle and sandy bay is literally over the road whilst also being surrounded by miles of outstanding natural beauty.  Gate House is nestled at the foot of the stunning Tennyson Trail, with its spectacular chalk cliffs and views across the channel.  Just behind the house are the extensive nature walks of Afton Marsh, leading to the old Railway Line and River Yar walk to Yarmouth.  

 

There is also Freshwater Bay Golf Club just the other side of the Bay.  

 

Many excellent surf and sandy beaches are just a few minutes drive from the house.

Gate House offers the perfect location for a relaxing, self-catering holiday in comfort and style.  It will comfortably sleep 12 with 4 bathrooms plus an outdoor shower - perfect for a holiday with friends or families sharing.

The house was originally part of a Victorian hotel built in the 1860's and has been renovated by its present owners.  The property enjoys a number of period features with a relaxed and artistic finish throughout.

There is an old fashioned grocer's shop and cafe/bar within a short walk.  There is also a variety of shops and services in Freshwater village, a mile away.
